Over the next few weeks, I’m going to break out of my comfort zone and build a new Rails application using the latest Rails 7.2 release, which uses a dev container for the development environment. I’m also going to look at using the Zed text editor instead of VS Code.
Just finished watching The Marvels on Disney+. Thoroughly enjoyed it! A refreshing change from the MCU I thought. 🍿
Drew starting high school today!

Hat-tip to Jamie Thingelstad for his blog. I’ve been reviewing it over the last couple of days, and he’s done so much with it. There’s so much here that I would like to do on my own blog.
I finally feel like I’m starting to turn a corner with this lurgy thing. I’ll make sure I rest up over the weekend, hoping that by next week, it will be completely gone.
I migrated a few more images from my old blog to the Micro.blog, so my photos page looks better. I also added a now page and uses page.

Common “Not Doing” projects involve physical exercise, connecting with old friends, volunteering for good causes, and writing thank you notes.

I miss Twitter’s lists feature when I’m on Micro.blog, Instagram, and Threads. On Twitter, I had lists for a handful of topics that I looked at daily, such as the NFL, notebooks, people, and web development. It was nice to scroll through related content and change to something else.
Defaulting to Firefox as my browser again. I have noticed there’s better integration with the 1Password extension than there was in Safari. I always found 1Password’s extension inconsistent in Safari, and it usually took a while to appear and populate any form.
